Why are your fish processed in Thailand?

A majority of the world's canned fish supply goes through Thailand, which gives us access to high volumes of raw material. This also allows us to mercury test every single tuna and salmon and keep up with our supply needs.

Our canning facility is world class, and undergoes regular, extremely rigorous audits performed by very respected global agencies such as British Retail Consortium (BRC), Safe Quality Food (SQF), and the SGS Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI). These audits include not only food safety but components on worker safety, as well as social compliance audits that ensure fair labor practices. These audits are conducted by internationally recognized certification bodies. Our canning facility is registered with the FDA, and staffed fully by Safe Catch employees, with regular visits from our Executive team.
