Why does Safe Catch tuna and salmon look different than other brands?
Safe Catch tuna and salmon can look different than other conventional brands when you open the can because Safe Catch is prepared by hand. All of our fish is hand cut, hand packed raw, and then goes through a single unique artisanal cook process right in the can or pouch that retains all the healthy Omega 3 oils. Wild tuna and salmon are natural products, and fat content can vary from fish to fish. During the cooking process, the natural, omega-3 rich fats can rise to the surface of the steak.
At Safe Catch we do not precook or machine process any of our tuna or salmon, nor do we add oil, water, fillers, preservatives, or GMO-Soy broth to our cans labeled "Do not drain." When you open the can or pouch you will find a solid steak with naturally occurring fish oils and juices that are full of healthy Omega-3s. It tastes better and is better for you!
